Living the daydream in Port Townsend, Washington, where I’ve been practicing poetry without a license since allowing my license to practice law to expire, with a sigh of relief that rattled tree branches and frightened squirrels for miles. Presently encamped at the Entrance To The Mystery, waiting, impatiently, for Someone to come out and leave The Door open, so I can sneak in and steal a few Words.

1.15.2025 My sincere apologies to anyone who came here looking for excerpts from novels I’m (allegedly) working on. After much thought I have decided my time, however much is left, (I’m 75-years-old), is best spent with my poetry, a late-in-life gift given to me, I believe, to share my awakening to the truth of my favorite line from poet, Jalāl al-Dīn Muḥammad Rūmī:
You think yourself just a drop in the ocean, but you are also the ocean in a drop.
I believe the Ocean he was referring to is the Ocean of Love and Light that some call Consciousness, some call Source, others Creator, still others God. And some simply call … Love. That’s Who and What I want to write poems about.
