Our Big Brother,
\nJesus,
\nIs Reported to
\nHave Said That
\nOur Maker,
\nWhom Some Call
\nFather,<\/p>\n

Gets the Grins . . .
\nI can Imagine Him
\nClapping His Hands
\nwith Divine Delight . . .
\nWhen We,
\nHis Beloved
\nCreated Ones,<\/p>\n

Behave Like
\nHappy Kids
\nTurned Loose
\nIn a Playground.<\/p>\n

Not That I Believe
\nEvery Word
\nIn a Book
\nThat Says
\nBeing Wise Begins
\nWith Being Afraid of
\nOur Adoring Maker –<\/p>\n

That Makes No Sense –<\/p>\n

But That Book
\nAlso Says She\u2019s
\nLike a Mother Hen
\nHugging Her Little Ones
\nClose Beneath Her Wings.<\/p>\n

It Makes Me Wonder Why
\nI Get So Serious,
\nImagining I Must
\nBend the Knee and
\nClasp Hands
\nBeneath Bowed Head,
\nTo Come Before
\nMy Maker,<\/p>\n

When All They Want,
\nfor Father\u2019s Day,
\nIs a House Full of
\nKids Being Kids.<\/p>\n
