\nPlucked from Behind
\na Microphone In a
\nTexas Tavern,<\/p>\n

But This Time Singing
\nfor a Panel of Celebrity Judges
\non a TV Talent Show,
\nWhere One Judge
\nIs Known for His
\nSharp-Edged Sword
\nof a Tongue,<\/p>\n

But Even His Eyes
\nAre Spilling as He
\nRises With the Audience
\nTo Raise Their Hands
\nIn Joy.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m Watching This
\non a Sunday Sabbath Morning,
\nat the Same Time
\nI Once Spent
\nSinging Holy Hymns
\nand Kneeling With
\nHead Bowed to
\nRest On a Pew
\nWhile Whispering
\nPrayers to
\nThe All That Is
\nDivine.<\/p>\n

It Comes to Me,
\nIn a Whisper from
\nMy Maker,
\nThat My TV Talent Show
\nTexas Father\u2019s
\n Tearful Triumph<\/p>\n

Is Every Bit
\nas Heavenly as a
\nSabbath Prayer.<\/p>\n
