Our Older Brother,
\nJesus,
\nIs Quite The Storyteller,<\/p>\n

when He Isn\u2019t
\nStripping His Belt off and Chasing
\nReligious Con Men Out of their Temples,
\nor Holding Toddlers in His Lap
\nso They can Braid Dandelions into His Beard.<\/p>\n

One of My Favorites
\nIs the One About the Dad
\nWho Caves In When
\nHis Snark of a Son Demands
\nHis Share of Dad\u2019s Estate Before
\nDad has even Kicked the Bucket.<\/p>\n

Sonny Boy then Jets off to
\nThe Big City,
\nWhere He Spends His Cash on
\nHookers and Strip Bars.<\/p>\n

The Kid ends up Slopping Hogs,
\nfor Minimum Wage, Until
\nDesperate,
\nHe Hitchhikes Toward Home,
\nHoping Dad will Let Him
\nSleep In the Barn.<\/p>\n

But Dad Won\u2019t Have It,
\nDrives Out to Where
\nSomeone Saw the Kid,
\nLeaps from His Car,
\nEyes Brimming,
\nHugs the Boy and
\nCovers His Cheeks with Kisses.<\/p>\n

Wait, there\u2019s More:<\/p>\n

Daddy Hires the Boy\u2019s Favorite Band
\nand Throws a Dinner Party
\nfor The Kid
\nat The Best Restaurant In Town.<\/p>\n

At One Point
\nHe Whispers In The Kid\u2019s Ear,
\n\u201cBy the Way,
\nI Still Have You In My Will.\u201d<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a Daydream for You:<\/p>\n

Jesus Takes You
\nOut for Breakfast,
\nTells The Story,
\nand Says To You,<\/p>\n

\u201cThat\u2019s How Much
\nYou Are Loved.<\/p>\n

\u201cHow About
\nYou Start Loving Yourself
\nAs Much?\u201d<\/p>\n
