Variations On a Theme<\/strong><\/p>\n

Early on,
\nalmost as soon as
\nthe Cord joining Me
\nto My Mother
\nwas snipped,<\/p>\n

I was Taught that
\nthough I was Birthed a
\nTransgressor by Nature,<\/p>\n

I could Volunteer for
\nThe Lord\u2019s Army,
\nand if I
\nWorshipped and Obeyed
\nthe Commander-In-Chief,
\nafter signing a Confession
\nto My Crimes, and
\nif I Obeyed All Orders,<\/p>\n

The Commander\u2019s
\nFirstborn
\nwould take My Place
\nin The Battle
\nagainst Cosmic Evil,<\/p>\n

and when He Died,
\nit would be as if I died,
\nthereby assuming
\nThe Death Penalty
\nI had deserved
\nsince Birth.<\/p>\n

I have come
\nto Believe
\nReality is
\nOther than That.<\/p>\n

The only
\nCommander-In-Chief
\nIs Love,
\nwith a trillion Stars, and<\/p>\n

He or She or It
\n(Pronouns are of
\nNo Consequence)
\nRuns a Cosmic
\nProduction Company, and<\/p>\n

is Eager to Receive
\nYour all-the-World-is-a
\nStageplay.<\/p>\n

We Love Creating Scripts, but
\nWe\u2019re also a
\nCosmic Acting Troupe,
\noffering Our Talents
\nto One Another.<\/p>\n

There is only One Condition:
\nYour Play Must Be
\na Variation on the
\nLove Theme, and<\/p>\n

there must be
\nNo Other Conditions.<\/p>\n
