Poetic License<\/strong><\/p>\n

At the risk of
\nrevocation,
\nI proffer my
\nPoet\u2019s License
\nas follows:<\/p>\n

Imagine
\nthe Garden of Eden
\nwith two Trees.
\nBy my Poet\u2019s Liberties
\nI will call them
\nThe Tree of Judgment
\n(formerly known as
\nThe Tree of the Knowledge
\nof Good and Evil) and
\nThe Tree of Love
\n(formerly known as
\nThe Tree of Life.)<\/p>\n

The Creator has
\nwarned the Two
\nwho live there,
\nAdam and Eve,
\nto avoid the Fruit
\nof the Judgment Tree
\nas if Their Lives
\ndepended on it.<\/p>\n

But the Two
\nhave ignored
\nTheir Creator –
\ncurious Beings
\nThey are –
\nand eaten
\na dozen or so.<\/p>\n

Now Adam is
\nhuddled atop a rock,
\nawash in shame
\nbecause He would
\nrather meditate
\nthan tend the Garden,
\nand He knows
\nHe should work harder.<\/p>\n

Eve is sulking
\nbecause it was She
\nwho urged Adam
\nto eat from
\nThe Judgment Tree.<\/p>\n

And the Creator
\nhas startled Them both,
\nspringing from behind
\nanother rock, and<\/p>\n

grinning at Them
\nas any adoring
\nMother might –
\nThey were created
\nin His image –
\nHer and Him Fractals of
\nHis and Her gorgeous Light!<\/p>\n

He waves Them
\nto Herself,
\nlaughing:<\/p>\n

\u201cI warned You about
\nthat Tree of Judgment.
\nLesson learned,
\nam I right?<\/p>\n

Here,
\nI brought you both
\nsome chocolate-covered
\ncherries I picked
\nespecially for You,
\nmy Precious Ones,
\nfresh from
\nThe Tree of Love.”<\/p>\n
