Parking Lot Rhapsody<\/strong><\/p>\n

I just got back
\nfrom Church
\non wheels,<\/p>\n

where the choir
\nwas a playlist of
\nIndie Rock,
\n\u201cSlow Dances,\u201d by the
\nbeatific youngsters
\nwho call themselves
\nWinnetka Bowling League,<\/p>\n

every bit as holy as
\na Tabernacle Choir
\nin a sanctified
\nHouse built of
\npolished pews and
\nsoaring ceilings,<\/p>\n

except now I\u2019m
\nin the grocer\u2019s,
\nwhere the aisles
\nteem with
\nglorified faces
\nglowing with
\nthe image of
\ntheir Maker’s
\nadoring, soaring
\nLove of every
\nhair on their heads.
\nI try not to stare<\/p>\n

but I\u2019m astonished
\nthat driving home
\nthe only thing
\nin my heart is
\na rhapsody that
\nbegan in the
\nparking lot
\nat Safeway.<\/p>\n
