\ninsisted the Way
\nto The Top
\nran through
\nlaboratories or
\nlaw school or
\ncalculus or the
\nsupply and demand
\nof Economics 101.<\/p>\n

But daydreams
\ncan be relentless,
\ngrinning at you
\nfrom between the pages
\nof your beach read, or
\nbeckoning to you
\nfrom whatever screen
\nyou use to watch
\n\u201cEternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,\u201d<\/p>\n

until they persuade you
\nto wake up
\nin The Mystery,<\/p>\n

to see you\u2019ve
\nonly ever been
\nin Art School,<\/p>\n

and there isn\u2019t
\na birth or
\na death,<\/p>\n

a love lost
\nor beauty found
\nin hopeless heroics,<\/p>\n

transcendence
\ndiscovered in some
\nbungled business
\nof one kind or another,<\/p>\n

that isn\u2019t Being
\ntransformed by
\nyour eyes,
\nseeing through Love\u2019s Lens,<\/p>\n

into a Wondering
\nhow it is
\nthat you
\nfound your Way
\ninto Art School
\nafter All.<\/p>\n
