The Method<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m not a pro,
\nand maybe I\u2019ve
\nmisconstrued,<\/p>\n

but I understand
\nthere\u2019s a Method
\nof acting wherein
\nthe actor becomes
\nthe character
\nthey\u2019ve chosen to
\ninhabit.<\/p>\n

That sounds
\nexhilirating!
\nPerhaps for
\nmy next
\nperformance
\nI\u2019ll become
\na man who
\nmows his lawn
\non schedule and
\nis handy with a
\nhammer and
\npower saw,
\na man who prefers
\na tent and campfire to
\na slightly shabby
\nB&B overlooking
\nBourbon Street.<\/p>\n

But not this time around.<\/p>\n

Whether I audition
\nfor the part of a
\nsexy singer-songwriter,
\nor get to play
\nquarterback,
\nor CEO,
\nor prima ballerina,<\/p>\n

I will live the part,
\nyet<\/p>\n

I will remember,
\nas the sun rises,
\nand I\u2019m getting into
\ncostume,<\/p>\n

that my Method
\nmust embrace
\nmy Soul,
\nthe One that is
\nforever beloved
\nby The Love that
\napplauds that
\nI Am.<\/p>\n
