Pokemon Satori<\/strong><\/p>\n

Walking from
\nthe car to the
\nMarine Science Center,
\nwith the
\ngrandsons,
\neight and five.<\/p>\n

Who have insisted
\nthey must be
\nallowed to bring
\nPsyduck and Scorbunny,
\ntheir Pokemon
\ncomfort creatures,
\nwhich they
\nclutch
\nwith determined
\nferocity.<\/p>\n

I concede,
\nnot wishing
\nto have my
\ngrandparenting
\nlicense
\nrevoked.
\nBut
\nknowing
\nfull well<\/p>\n

I will soon be
\nthe designated
\ncarrier,
\nas the boys
\nscamper
\nin a dozen
\ndirections
\nto view the
\noctopus and
\nother denizens of
\nbriny tanks and
\ntidepools.<\/p>\n

I lose sight
\nof them and
\nhope
\ngrandma is on
\ntracking duty.<\/p>\n

Now there are
\nlooks askance
\nand
\nside-eyed
\nglances<\/p>\n

at the old dude
\nwho apparently
\ncarries
\nstuffed animals
\nfor security
\npurposes.<\/p>\n

My heart throbs
\nwith joy
\nas I realize
\nthat being seen
\nas a man
\nwho would
\nsaunter about
\nbrazenly hugging
\ntoy creatures,
\nfor mysterious
\nreasons,
\nand wallowing
\nin delight
\nabout the
\nfurtive attention,
\nprobably means
\nI have attained<\/p>\n
